Weymouth’s largest bus operator, First Dorset, has announced new timetable changes for Weymouth’s flagship bus services.
First Dorset will be performing a timetable shake-up on September 18 to coincide with the start of the winter season.
The winter timetable changes reflect less passengers travelling and less demand during the winter period, as is the case for every year.
The most notable change to the timetable includes the withdrawal of the seasonal X52 “Monkey World” bus, via Durdle Door.
The Route 1 bus to Portland is also having its frequency reduced, in addition to service ending earlier at 23:17, three minutes before the 23:20 train from London Waterloo arrives. Passengers travelling late at night might want to book an earlier train if they wish to travel back to Portland after 11PM.
No increase in fares have been announced. A return from Portland to Weymouth still remains at £5.50.
First Dorset have also released timetables for the services that are changing, which can be found here.
